Primrose Pandas are Respectful, Responsible and Safe |
Dear Primrose Families, BPS Wellness Expo is finally here! This began as an idea from the special education task force teams at Primrose and Nayatt and has grown to a district wide event. We are grateful that BEF has partnered with us to bring so many wonderful community and statewide agencies and local talent together for this event. There will be activities for you to enjoy with your children and many health and wellness resources available. This is not a drop off event. I hope to see you there with your family. For all the Mom, Grandmothers and significant women in our lives-I hope you enjoy this special weekend-Happy Mother’s Day! Educationally yours, Coleen Smith |
News from the Nurse: Normal hearing is important for every child’s success at school. Rhode Island School for the Deaf will be conducting the hearing screen at Primrose School for students in Kindergarten through Grade 3 on Tuesday, May 16th. Grade three students will be screened only after completing the RICAS assessment that day. Hearing screenings are required by the RIDOH School Health Regulations. This is not a consent form. However, if you do not want your child to participate in the screening, please email me at carlsonj@barringtonschools.org. It is important we are aware of any factors that might affect your child’s performance on the screening. Please read at the following questions:
If you answer YES to any of these questions, please contact Mrs. Carlson, School Nurse by email: carlsonj@baringtonschools.org before the screening date. I will notify you if your child has difficulty with the screening. If you have any questions about the hearing screening, please contact Luz Adley at the Rhode Island School for the Deaf Audiology Center (401) 243-1022. Thank you, Jennifer Carlson, RN |
